Nominated for: "Thousands Errors" award based on:

(1). Chicago's transit trains are color coded, and the green banner on the train does not match the "Red Line" description on the caption.

(2). Chicago's largest major city newspaper should know that the stop their describing is underground at that point, while out the train's windows you can see buildings.

If all of your business is not local, then this doesn't matter. However, most newspapers business (including the Chicago Tribune) is local, if they can't get the picture or article right, it's a distraction that can keep many of their viewers from focusing on anything else, including the ads that might also be on the page.

Nominated for: "Free Advertising on Us" award based on:

(1). Since when is an Ad an opinion?

(2). Since these appear so often, either no one is monitoring the blog, or perhaps you ARE charging for revenue.

(3). Since blog comments on these sites are indexed by the search engines, this also helps these posters reach the top of search engine results by allowing their links to be posted on legitimate sites.

You can't continue to cry broke, and allow someone to steal the product in this manner. While these posters will probably never pay for advertising, give them credit for being smart enough to post their ads on articles where the response is the highest. If I were a paid advertiser, you'd definitely see this come up in the next contract negotiations!
